The emerald ash borer (EAB) is a nonnative invasive forest pest first discovered in United State in 2002. It has been over a year since this beetle has been found in Vermont in the town of Orange. It has now been found in 4 counties and half a dozen towns. Join AJ Follensbee, Windsor- Orange County Forester to learn about the identification and biology of EAB, how to report a suspected infestation and what EAB means for your wood lot. The workshop will begin with an indoor session and discussion, and then will head outdoors to Branliere Town Forest to look at ash trees in the town forest.

Please dress appropriately for the outdoor session and bring a water bottle if possible. The outdoor session may cover over a mile of hiking. The event will occur rain or shine.

Fee: Free!
