Pests Attacking Vermont's Trees

Vermont’s forests face a threat of unprecedented proportions. Two exotic invasive pests, emerald ash borer (EAB) and Asian longhorned beetle (ALB), that have devastated forests in the mid-west and mid-Atlantic, have been found close to Vermont borders. Another exotic invasive insect, hemlock woolly adelgid (HWA) , has been found in several communities in Windham County. These pests, along with others we are watching out for will undoubtly change Vermont's forests. We need your help to prepare, look and manage for these invaders.
