Think that you've found an aquatic invasive species? 

There are many species of mollusks found in Vermont, and only a couple are invasive

1. Check out the gallery of invader pages to confirm the species that you think you have found.
   • Zebra mussel
   • Asian clam
   • Alewife
   • Or other aquatic invasive species
2. Visit the Vermont DEC's Aquatic Invasive Species Map and see if that species is already documented in the waterbody in question.
3. If the species has not been documented in that waterbody, submit a photo.
